What should we expect during our first visit to SCCC?

We have 2 worship services: 9:15 and 11:00. Children’s programs for ages infant – 5th grade are offered during both services. Stay after the earlier service, or come early for the later service, for coffee, doughnuts, and fellowship in the sanctuary.

Some of our guys wear ties, and others wear shorts and T-shirts. Some ladies wear skirts, and others wear jeans.

You can dress up or dress down – either way, we’d love to see you here!

Children younger than kindergarten age may go to one of our nursery classrooms where they will be lovingly cared for and taught age-appropriate Bible lessons. You will get a matching clip tag with a number on it so that only you can pick up your child. Our sanctuary has a number alert system so that you can be discreetly notified during service if your child needs you. If the parent is not going to be in the sanctuary (volunteering or attending a Sunday School class), please request a pager so we can contact you directly.

If your children are ages K – 5th grade, they can head to our KidZone where they’ll have their own worship service along with Bible lessons and small group time. Older students attend service in the sanctuary. (Your younger children are always welcome to stay with you as well.)

Yes! We have greeters at both the main entrance (on the right) and the KidZone entrance (on the left) who will help you find a Sunday school class, get your children checked into children’s church, or get your baby settled in the nursery.
Our service typically lasts a little over an hour. We celebrate communion every Sunday, and our praise and worship music is modern in style.

Your children K – 5th grades will be having a great time back in our KidZone while you are in the worship service. They sing, pray, and have age-appropriate lessons taught by trained volunteers.

Sunday School

We have Sunday school classes for teens and adults.

Both adult classes meet in the middle school room.

The 9:15 class does verse-by-verse studies through books of the Bible.

The 11:00 class is a combination of ages, races, genders, and backgrounds coming together to study God’s Word.

Our teen Sunday school class meets at 9:15 in the high school classroom and is a combined class for middle and high school students.
