Dear SCCC Family,
With the continued threat of COVID-19 your leadership team met again to consider the church’s options as we continue to move forward in faith and patience. The COVID-19 virus continues throughout our country, the state of Virginia, and yes in our local communities. We will continue to monitor websites for the World Health Organization (WHO) and Center for Disease Control (CDC). Due to the mandatory group restrictions (less than ten people) which has been placed on meetings and gatherings, if you’re not on the Sunday morning praise team, we ask that you please worship with us online.
As we did this past Sunday, we will share a virtual service through our Facebook Live, at 9:15am and KidZone through the Facebook Live as well. If you do not have Facebook, we will continue audio recording the service and have it posted Sunday afternoon to our website and podcast.
We would like to remind everyone that you can still partake of communion at home with whatever elements you have on hand. It is the presentation of what Jesus did for us, and a time of remembering. We have fully packaged communion elements at the church for you if you want to come by and get them (Monday – Friday, 9am-12pm) or if you can’t come by, ask one of the Elders or Church staff to deliver them to you. We would be honored to share them with you. As always you may give your offering through our website at https://www.staffordccc.org/give/
The leadership team and church staff are also working on ways to hold online meetings and events to keep us all in contact with each other, studying God’s word and fellowshipping during these trying times. As we continue to look for alternative ways to come together and share our normal events virtually, we welcome your thoughts. The devil is at work and we need to lean on our church family as much as possible and however we can.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide weekly communications with you in one form or another. We are here for you and we are family. If you need anything, reach out and let us know and we will do our best to find it and get it to you. As believers in Christ, we need to remember those in our community who can’t get out and don’t have family around to help them. Reach out when you feel led. Everyone needs to see God in this. Lift each other up, invite those you know to share in our church through Facebook Live services.
Serving His Kingdom,
Stafford County Christian Church
