Mike and his wife, Linda, and two children, Cory (31) and Alia (25) were members of the original team that started the church in 1990. He retired as a Lt. Col. in the US Air Force in 1994, and came on staff as associate minister. He completed a ministry degree in 1997 from Kentucky Christian University and assumed the leadership of the church in 2001. Mike grew up on a farm outside of Kenton, Ohio, and obtained a Bachelor's in history and Master's in international relations from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
Scott Cumberledge was born and raised in the bustling city of Virginia Beach. He graduated from Mid-AtlanticChristianUniversity (formerly RoanokeBibleCollege) in 2007. Following this he completed a year- long Youth Ministry internship in northwest Indiana. He started at Stafford County Christian Church as the Youth Minister in October of 2008 and wasted no time in finding his loving wife, Rachel, and beautiful daughter, Abigail, getting married in May of 2010. He enjoys getting to know students, spending time with his family, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Christy has been been leading the children’s ministries for the last two and half years. She is passionate about teaching all children the love of Jesus and enjoys building relationships with the families. She was raised in north Florida where she attended LakeCityCommunity College and Santa FeCollege. She and her husband Mitch have been attending SCCC for several years. They have one son, Chris (14) and a daughter, Madison (9).
Elise directs our three pre-school programs. She's been with the church since 2004 and has previously served as a volunteer in the church and many public school programs. She's originally from Seattle, Washington. She has three children, and her husband Stan is a Marine Corps Officer.
Lorraine serves as our Administrative Assistant. She loves serving the church in this position and feels that this is her ministry. She served 4 years in the United States Navy and then attended Peirce Jr. College in Philadelphia where she earned her Associates Degree in Computer Science. She and her husband, Carl have been attending SCCC for 14 years. They have one son, Chris (27) who lives in Louisville, Kentucky and two daughters, Kathryn (20), who is a student at James Madison University, and Carolyn (18), a student at Germana College.
