Stafford CCC contributes not only to its church community, but to the community outside the walls of the church.  We support a wide variety of local, national, and international agencies and missions.  Listed below are the local agencies we actively support:

Stafford Junction

Stafford Junction is a local ministry serving children in needy communities in north and south Stafford.  The ministry conducts after school tutoring in a program called Brain Builders and a whole host of other activities throughout the year.  SCCC provides volunteer tutors and coordinators in most of the program's activities.

Thurman Brisbane Homeless Shelter, Fredericksburg

The Thurman Brisbane Homeless Shelter is located in Fredericksburg and offers temporary housing to homeless.  SCCC frequently assists feeding the residents by sending teams who prepare meals with food donated by the congregation.

Hope House, Fredericksburg

The Hope House is a home for battered women and their children in Fredericksburg.  They provide temporary lodging, care, and counseling for women in need.  SCCC periodically provides help with grounds keeping, supplies and financial contributions.

CAP is an arm of the Salvation Army that does a detailed financial assessment of people in financial need.  They provide a limited amount of funds as deemed appropriate based on their assessments.  Churches and agencies throughout the area support this work financially.

S.E.R.V.E. - Stafford Emergency Relief through Volunteer Efforts

S.E.R.V.E. - Stafford Emergency Relief through Volunteer Efforts provides food and emergency assistance to those in need in Stafford County.   SCCC supports them through food drives and service events to collect, organize and distribute food to the community.  SERVE also assists the needy with funds after confirming the need is valid.  SCCC regularly donates funds to SERVE to support this effort.
