Over the years God has truly blessed our church in so many ways. We’ve experienced growth both physically and spiritually – we’ve touched (and been touched by) many lives. We have been and continue to be a “home-away-from home” for the large number families who transit through this community. We want to continue in the years ahead to meet the spiritual education needs of individuals and families who come through our doors. As a result, the leadership tppl another step forward in positioning our church for a dynamic ministry in the years to come.
We have entered an exciting period in our history during which we worked with a team of leaders from our church to conduct a capital campaign entitled “Tilling the Soil”. The specific purpose of this campaign was to fund the expansion of our current facility – to include a 3000-square foot education building and additional parking spaces.
The campaign was designed to communicate essential details regarding our project, to unite us in prayer and faith, and to teach fundamental principles of commitment, service, and stewardship. Ultimately, members and supporters of the church were asked to make spiritual, service, and financial commitments. The financial commitment – a commitment over-and-above your present level of giving for a three-year period – will be used by our finance ministry to recoup funds acquired through bank financing and forgive the debt on the new project over the three-year campaign period.
Sunday, December 12, Mike Steiner introduced the scriptural basis for this campaign and laid the groundwork for the various campaign events and commitments in a message entitled “Ownership of the Higher Cause”. A copy of the sermon text can be downloaded from this page.
